Summertime on the Farm

After a blistering hot, bone dry June and a cool, soaking wet July, the farm gardens and greenhouses are enjoying some lovely summer sunshine. The ever expanding row of shingles on the roadside farm stand sign inspired me to write new lyrics to an old song. (Apologies to George Gershwin.) I bet you know the tune. Sing along!

Summertime, and the livin’ is peachy….

Piggy’s a gruntin’….

The tomatoes are high….

Oh, the compost’s rich….

And the garlic’s good lookin’….

So hush little lamby, don’t you cry 🤗

Happy summer from Deuce Pigalow and everyone else on the farm!

Yum! May I please be in charge of peach quality control?? And oh dear I was showing Sallie the picture of the sheep and the limb and she says “aren’t they cute? My favorite meat!” 😳
